Artist Statement

The fleeting nature of our perceptions, and the search for articulating human experience inspires my painting.

Layers of paint, like a mystery of time, cloak the memories, reframing the past. Colors as life, appear and disappear, continuously transforming from within, forming new encounters.

In my paintings, I explore the possibilities of color relationships arising out of a single color field, creating movement and tension, and illuminating the relationships arising between them.

The experience of color transitions and cycles, osculating between potency in dark-ness, to dissolving in light-ness. Painting creates a life of its own in the absence of descriptive reference.

Growing up in the farmlands of Poland, I experienced an endlessness of the sky and Earth, stretching into infinity through the thin lines of the ever changing horizons. The idea of infinity, just like pure art, seems inconceivable when following the logic of our linear reality, yet, it is the unknown which draws me in.
